Petter M Appletop 1.5 HP
Engine No. - 12848
Year - 1937 Type VZ.

This engine has been a 'sleeper' for around 25 years having been saved from a farm near Stirling around 30 years ago. The engine has been repainted in the past but has never run in the past 30 years, and probably for many years before this. The engine is in need of a full strip down and re-paint but appears to be in good condition, albeit rusty in places but nothing too serious. The only damage that is apparent is with the base fuel tank which has suffered severe frost cracking in the past. The previous owner has welded the crack with cast iron rods but it is not known as yet how successful the repair has been. The engine is unseized and turns over freely. It is expected that a mechanical restoration will be carried out initially to get the engine into running order, then the engine can be repainted at a later date.
