Close up of cylinder noting the hairline crack which extends from the edge of the skirt until
approximately 1 inch inside. Having discussed this with several people with experience of
such problems the general opinion is that the crack is unlikely to worsen and as it is outwith
the combustion end of the cylinder there should be no effect on compression etc.
