This engine has been the subject of a previous restoration and has actually appeared in the Stationary Engine magazine in the later 1970's following an article on these types of engine. The engine is nearly complete and appears to be in good condition albeit rusty in places. The only missing part appears to be the rocker cover which is often discarded during the engine's working life to allow easy access to lubricate rockers. The engine will need a strip down and inspection followed by a repaint but should be a relatively easy restoration. The engine is a petrol-paraffin version which is a little different from most other LA's we have seen on the rallyfield. The vaporiser arrangement can be seen in the photos.
