Update - 23rd January 2008 Little has changed on the site in a year for various reasons, however that isn't to say things have been at a standstill. Here is a brief summary of what we have been up to...! Fowler Pumpset This is the main project for 2008 Astle Park, its on the trolley and the pump has now been stripped, painted and rebuilt with new piston seals and gland packing (thanks to Allan G for the parts). The pump is now finished and work as moved on to the engine which has been stripped for a light restoration as it was already in good running order. Hopefully by Easter the engine will be well on the way to being finished ready for the new rally season.
Rallies in 2007 Managed to exhibit at a couple of rallies this year but the highlight was the trip to Dorset which took in the Fleet Air Arms museum and then on to 3 full days at the steam fair which was fantastic. Highlights were the heavy haulage section, working steam sawing displays, steam fair on saturday night and of course the stationary engines.
