Wolseley WD2
1.5 HP, 700 RPM
Engine No. xxxx.
Manufactured 19xx.

This engine was originally supplied as a tank cooled engine. Acquired in 1994 from an old agricultural engineering workshop it was clear this engine, although missing carburettor, magneto and crankcase covers was in very good condition. It seems to have been stripped at an early age and has had little use. Unfortunately the original engine number has not been found. I have restored this engine as a hopper cooled engine, primarily to save storage space and to exhibit alongside my WD1. The longer cylinder head studs for the tank cooled head can be clearly seen. This engine has now been fully restored and runs very well. Wolseley engines are renowned for being smooth quiet runners, especially when in good mechanical order.
